Are you open for the 2017 tubing season?
We are open 7 days per week Memorial Day to Labor Day from 9 am - 6 pm, weather permitting.

Do I need a reservation?
We accept reservations for groups of ten or more. We need reservations for groups of 50 or more. This helps us schedule our staff. If your group has less than ten people, there's no need to request a reservation; we'll be able to accommodate you on any date and at any time we are open.

How deep is the water?
It varies. Most of the river is ankle to knee deep, but some sections will be over your head.

Can I bring my dog?
Absolutely, dogs are welcome to tube. Don't believe me? Check out our Pooch on the 'Hooch photo album.

Is there a weight, height, or age limit?
The minimum age is 2 years old for tubing. We don't have weight or height restrictions, but keep in mind that some places can be very shallow. Physical exertion may be required. Kids must be at least 42" tall to do the waterslide.

Do I need to be physically fit to go tubing?
Most people don’t find tubing strenuous. If we haven't had enough rain, however, it can involve a bit of work. The lower the water level, the more work required.

Do I have to be able to swim?
Since we're on a calm and relatively shallow stretch of the Chattahoochee, non-swimmers go tubing with us often. The rapids aren't classed, and only a few swimming holes have water deeper than 5’. Anyone who can't swim should wear one of the life-jackets we provide, and all kids age 12 and under are required to take a life-jacket.

What should I do with my keys and personal items while I’m tubing?
You can rent one of our lockers for $2. Or, if you want to lock your things in the car, we hold car keys for free with a photo ID. Do not take your keys in the river with you. Many who insist on taking their keys end their trip with a call to the locksmith.

Can I take a cooler?
No, but each tuber is allowed to take one 32 oz. plastic drink container.  No alcohol.

Can we tie our tubes together?
Yes. We have straps available to connect the tubes. These are included in the ticket price, and you can use as many as you need. For safety reasons, though, we don’t recommend floating down with more than two tubes connected.

Can I bring my own personal floatation device?
Yes, as long as it is US Coast Guard approved.

Do you have a lifeguard on duty?
No guide or lifeguard accompanies you on the river, but our waterslides do have a lifeguard on duty.

Is there somewhere we can picnic?
Yes, we have pavilions, picnic tables, and grills. They're all available on a first come, first served basis.

Do you have restrooms and changing rooms?
Yes. Restrooms, changing rooms, and showers are available to paying customers.

Can I get out of the river during the trip (to eat, shop, etc.)?
If you purchased a waterslide ticket, you will get out at Alpine Crest Resort. Otherwise, no. Please remember that property along the river is private property.

Do I need a waiver if I'm under 18?
Yes, every participant must have someone 18 or older sign for them. You can download and print a waiver to be signed by a parent or guardian.

Can I bring a camera?
Unless it is waterproof, we don't recommend it. It will get wet. We have analog waterproof cameras for sale in our store.

Are there restrooms along the river?
No, use the restrooms in our building before entering the river.

What are your prices?

Can I take alcohol?
No, alcohol isn't allowed on the Chattahoochee within the Helen city limits.

What should I wear?
Shorts and a t-shirt or a swimsuit. Sunscreen and securely fitting shoes. Flip Flops and sandals without backs aren't recommended.

Will I get wet?
Yes! Put your towel in a locker or in the car.

What happens if it rains?
We tube rain or shine. But we close during thunder and lightning, of course. If you are on the river during a sudden storm, get out and wait at the nearest road. Our buses will pick you up.

How many people do I need to get the group rate?
Parties of 10 or more get the group rate.
